Zeggory “Zeg” Eugene Thompkins was born December 12,1956 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Richard V. Thompkins and Elaine Fisk Thompkins-Jones.
Zeg accepted Christ in his life at an early age at First Baptist Church of Lakeland. He graduated from Elston High School in 1975.
Zeg was a loving Son, Brother, Father, and such an intelligent man. He was the life of any party, always full of laughter, and jokes to lift up anyone who was around. His infectious laughter, smile, and dance will be truly missed by everyone.
He is preceded in death by his Grandparents Jessie and Annie Thompkins, John and Johnnie B Fisk, Father Richard V. Thompkins, Jessie Reed and special beloved sister Ada Darlene Thompkins Johnson.
Zeggory leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memory: His loving mother: Elaine Jones, His children: Nina (Eric) Clingman, Tina Thompkins, Patricia Williams, Zeggory (Cassandra) Thompkins Jr, Candace Thompkins, and Travis Thompkins: Brothers: Ramond Thompkins, Brandon Mcclendon, Little Richard Smith, Vincent Thompkins, and Harry Thompkins, Sisters: Dorrine Kaye Thompkins, Rita Thompkins, Deda Allen, Andrea (Stanley) Mason, Linda Ross, and Serenity Rose Jones., He also leaves 16 grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousin, friends and family, and special friend Barbara Hunt.

A Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11am at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Stanley Mason to do Eulogy. Viewing will be 10am until time of service. Burial will be Monday, December 4, 2023 10am at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.
