His Story...
Willie B. White Sr. “affectionately known as Speedy’ was born March 30, 1946, in Burdette, Arkansas to Louis White and Ruby McKinney.
He worked as a machine operator at Randall Factory in Blytheville, Arkansas for 25 years. He then moved his family to Elkhart, Indiana in the summer of 1992 and became a supervisor at Wevac for 17 years. Speedy was well known and respected amongst the community. His biggest passion was barbecuing, landscaping at every house he lived at, but most importantly he enjoyed the company of his family.
Willie B. White Sr., departed his life Friday July 25, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents: Louis White and Ruby McKinney, a Son: Louis White, one Daughter: Sharita White and one Brother: William (WM) McKinney, six Sisters: Lola Mae Torrance, Glorastene Brown, Josephine Wiley, Erma Jean Wiley, Wil Ethel White and Joann Primas.
He leaves to cherish his legacy through his loving wife of 34 years Shirley White, one Brother-in-law: Willie Wiley, five Sons: Willie B. Jr, Reginald, Ridale, Kareem and Albert White, three daughters: Vickie, Nicole and Christine White, fourteen grandchildren: along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him unconditionally.
And in the words of my Uncle Speedy voice “Stay off my Grass”!!!
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 12noon (EST) at Agape Missionary Baptist Church 248 W. Wolf Ave. Elkhart, Indiana 46516 with Dr. Dannell Brown to be Eulogist. Viewing will be 11am until time of service at the Church. Interment will be private.
