Willie Lee Watson, 61, departed this life on June 7, 2020 at Franciscan Health of Michigan City, Indiana.
Funeral services will be noon on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Lane to give the eulogy. Viewing will be 10:00am to noon on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. The family requests that CDC guidelines be followed and face masks are required.
Willie Lee Watson was born at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 8, 1958 to the late Lillian Watson and Oscar Hales Jr.
After graduating Elston high school in 1977, Willie enlisted in the Marine Corps.
He loved to cook, play baseball, basketball and he also loved children. Willie also loved his beer lol.
He worked many factory jobs as a Fork Lift driver.
Willie was a happy go lucky guy. He had his way of making people laugh All the time you were in his presence. He was very funny and cracked jokes they put u on your knees laughing. He had a great love for his family and he made friends easily. He was a very loving person. He had an unconditional and strong love for his daughter Lillian and he showed it everyday. He loved life!
He is survived by his wife, Mary Watson; daughter, Lillian Ann Marie Watson; two sisters, Sandra Watson of Minnesota, Inez Watson (Nelson) of Texas; four nieces, Chantail Ashley, Marquista Cross, Sameika (Markeith) Thomas and Tiffany Carlock; five nephews, Kalvon Hawkins, Phillip Hawkins, Mario Hawkins, Michael (Nicole) Cochran Jr. and Crenden Woodard and a host of relatives.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Watson (Cross).
