Walter Lee Anderson

Walter Lee Anderson Jr., was born to Jacqueline Ratney and Walter Lee Anderson, Sr., on September 11, 1960 in East Chicago, Indiana.

He loved to joke around and be around family and friends.  Walter was the funniest person around in his time. He also enjoyed listening to music. He very much loved his only son Jason; he spent time with him every chance he got. Walter was a good father.

Walter gained his wings on July 15, 2023 at Franciscan Health Center in Michigan City, Indiana.

He leaves to cherish is fond memories his is beloved son: Jason Anderson, sisters and brothers: Cynthia “Big Cent” Dent, Sharon Haskins, Danielle Haskins, Kamanie Ratney, Valerie Ratney, Clifton Ratney, Lamar Ratney; he loved his great nephew:  Eric Botoms, and a host of nieces and nephews along with others he cherished.

Walter’s love, laughter, presence, and smile will be missed by all that knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 10-2pm at Coleman and Hicks Chapel 101 S. Karwick Rd. Michigan City, Indiana 46360.
