Her Story...
Vallie Marlene Burton was born February 15, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to Henry Miller Sr., and Jacqueline Simpson.
She attended Harris and Central Schools Grade Schools. She then graduated from Elston High School. After High School Vallie worked various jobs. She retired from American Rubber after 22 years of service. Vallie enjoyed working, walking, working out, watching Friends and the E-Channel on television, but most of all loved spending time with her one and only son Tony.
Vallie gained her wings on March 29, 2023 at Silver Birch Of Michigan City. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Jacqueline, her grandparents: Doc Adams, Julia Adams one son: Henry D. Burton, Siblings: Arthur Simpson, Henry Miller II, and Michael Simpson and Albertina Simpson.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories her loving son: Anthony (Shantai) Burton, one bonus son: James (Raida) Steele all of Michigan City, Indiana; three sisters: Jacqueline Gause of Michigan City, Indiana; Caroline Worlds of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Donna Browner of Indianapolis, Indiana; 3 special grandsons: Michael L. Hubbard II, Jaivion Reid, and Jerrion Reid all of Michigan City, Indiana; best friends: Shirley Hill, and Marie Robertson both of Chicago, Illinois: and Lisa Woodard of Michigan City, Indiana; along with the wonderful staff of Silver Birch, and a host of other relatives.
Vallie's love, laughter, presence, and smile will be tremendously missed by all that knew her.
