Tyrese Morris - Cross Sr. Obituary

On January 5, 2000 in Michigan City, Indiana a KING was born, Tyrese Monte Morris-Cross Sr.  to Christopher Cross Sr., and Nisha Morris.

Reese as he was affectionately called attended Michigan City Area Schools. He loved playing video games, He stayed picture ready, and most of all spending time with his children, siblings, family and friends. He was a member of Good Ground Outreach Ministries COGIC.

A celebration of life will be Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11am at Greater Power House COGIC 428 N. Woodland Ave. Michigan City, Indiana with viewing from 10am until time of service. Pastor James Allison to give Eulogy. Burial to follow immediately after at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.

A wake will be Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at Coleman and Hicks Chapel 101 S. Karwick Rd. Michigan City, Indiana 46360.

 

Tyrese departed this life on May 20, 2021 in South Bend, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his grand-mother G. Priscilla Morris, grand-father, Michael Cross Sr., great-grand-mothers: Evangelist Barbara Woodley, Willie S. Miller, Emma Garner, Sarah Cross,  great grand-fathers: Uzell Garner, Freddie B. Miller Sr., William Carswell, Leonard Cross Sr. uncles, Vince Allison, and Freddie Miller Jr., and god-sister, Lakaria Ashely.

Reese’s children were especially adored by him. He leaves behind four children and two unborn children who will always be reminded of who their father was and how much he cherished them, Tyrese Morris-Cross Jr., Tai’lynn Morris-Cross, A’Moura Morris-Cross, and Tyrez Morris-Cross.

He also leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories his parents: Nisha Morris, Christopher (Ryann) Cross Sr., and Paternal grand-mother: Jackie Garner, maternal grand-father: Pastor James (Rochelle) Allison, Paternal Grand-father, Albert Woodley, brothers: Ty’Shaun Smallwood, Donald Deal III, Wayne Witt Jr., Christopher Cross Jr., Tastae Cross, Deandre Webb, Tyler Moore, and Ryan King Cross, Sisters; Krista Cross, Briann Gaston-Cross, Taylor Moore- Cross, Timiyah Moore-Cross, Special Aunts: Alisha Morris (who was a second mom to him) Aunts: Nakkia Morris, Tierra Morris, Gyla  (Tony) Cross-Terrell, Vincesa Allison, Claudetta (Desmond) Hazelwood, and Annie King, Katie Johnson, Great Aunt: Mattie Garner, Evangelist Linda (Craig) Bowen, Stacey  Miller, and Freddie Mae Robinson, Great Uncles: Frank (Phyllis) Miller, Steve Miller, Elder Timothy Woodley, Special Uncles: Mitchell Rose, and  Michael Allison Sr., Uncles: Michael Cross Jr., Joshua Salary, and James Allison, special parents: Elder Sandi and Wallace Steward, special cousins: Cameron, Jer’maine, Mitchell Jr., Brian Jr., Byron, Dai’len, A’Drea, Special nieces and nephews: Tayah, Wayne III, Kamora, Lee, God-mom: Kyla Hudson, Special sisters: Nicole (Mario) Harrell, Joslyn Carter, Tatyana Hart, God-sisters: Asha and Atiah Dockery, Special brothers: Wallace and Wesley Steward, Special friends: Dontai Grant, Mark Wright Jr., Daryl Rhodes Jr., Darren Walker, Korery Augusta Jr., and Aree Branch.

The Mother’s of his children: Jasmine Lemons, Anshalique Mashburn, Shakeila Jones,

A special family friend Damond Watt, and a special lady friend, Jada Lynn Vittatoe along with a host of other special relatives and friends.
