Terri Washington Obituary

Her Story...

Terri Lynn (Olds) Washington was born on November 23,1954 in Michigan City Indiana.

She worked for Michigan Area School for several years, she also worked for The Stepping Stone Shelter and Blue Chip Casino. 

She confessed Christ at an early age. She was baptized at First Baptist Church and she later became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Fields. She enjoyed going to Blue Chip Casino and shopping, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great- grands.

Terri received her wings on February 16, 2023 at the age of 68. She is preceded in death by her son: Terrance Washington Sr., her Mother: Jeanette White, Father: Charles Olds, Mother- in- law: Cora Mason, Brother: Wayne Davis, Brother- in- law: Percy Mason, Grandson: Terrance Washington Jr., Great- grandson: D’Wayne Spears and her close friend: Jacqueline Nixon Hood.

She leaves to cherish her unforgettable memories: her Father: Neil (Esther) Davis, her loving Husband: Relise Washington, her 3 Children whom she adored: Wilton Coleman, Anitra (Antonio) White and Anthony (Tanya) Washington all of Michigan city Indiana; her 8 Special Bonus Children: Nikeya Lawhorn, Julia Arnold, Martisa Knight, Nadia Mason, Shona (Shawn) Murphy all of Michigan City, Indiana; Joey (Deminia) Walker all of Portage, Indiana; Pastor Brian (Crystal) Webb of Atlanta, Georgia; and Jabbar (Nika) Wilson of Jacksonville, Florida; her Siblings: Rickie Olds, Michael Davis, and Cornell Davis, Derrick (Rosalyn) Wesley all of Michigan City, Indiana; Tony (Stephanie) Davis of Nashville, Tennessee; Karen McAfee of Corona, California; and Cheryl Olds both of Mount Claire, California; Gloria White of South Bend, Indiana; Tina (Mark) Rice of Indianapolis, Indiana; Felice Simmons of Texas; her special Sister- in- Laws: Irma Mason and Sabrina Mason both of Texas; Beverly Davis and Mary Olds both of Michigan City Indiana; her 20 Grandchildren: Antonio Coleman Sr., Tonisha White, Antonio White, Kyren Martin, Monique Allmon, Rai’Anna Coleman, Rian Coleman, Wilton Coleman Jr.,Raion Coleman, Tayesisha Coleman, Diashawthea Coleman, Zoey Coleman, Rai’Myre Mccormick, Asia Washington, Terry Washington, Miya Washington, Daivion Washington, Lataviase Cross, Seqouyah Cross and Raeschell Thomas, her 37 Great- Grandkids, and 3 God-Children: Kim Phillps, James Nelson and Khadeshia Williams, 10 close Friends: Bert Phillips, Debra Fisher, Kathy Nixon, Brenda Patrick, Dawn Taylor, Kathy Martin, Sandy Windham, Mary Cotton, Jean Samuels, and Lagunda Porter, along with a host of other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of life will be Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 12 noon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Webb to do Eulogy. Viewing will be 11am until time of service. Interment will be private.

Terri’s love, laughter, sense of humor, bright smile, and the Love she had for her family will be sorely missed.
