Tasha Lasha Peterson

                                  Her Story

Tasha Lasha Peterson affectionately known as TP or Pete was born November 25, 1975 to Mary Peterson-Olds and the late Murray Edwards.

Tasha recently accepted Christ in her life. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1994. While in school she pursued a career in Cosmetology. Shortly after graduating she switched careers to nursing and graduated in 2001 which is the career she truly loved, and it expanded over 23 years. Tasha’s giving heart had such a big impact on so many people this is how she grew to have a large village of friends. Tasha enjoyed shopping, traveling, helping people and spending time with family and friends.

Saturday, February 10, 2024, Tasha peacefully departed this life in her sleep to be with her Lord and Savior. Tasha was preceded in death her son: La’Marcus Peterson-Reid, her father: Murray Edwards, both Paternal grandparents: Thomas and Nellie Edwards, Maternal Grandfather: Willie Peterson and two aunts, and one uncle.

She leaves cherish her memories, her children: Angel Thomas, Terrion Jackson, Zaria Peterson-Reid and Rome Cochran, Her mother: Mary Peterson Olds, stepfather: Ricke Olds Sr., Maternal grandmother: Bertha Peterson, Siblings: Cynthia Howard, Ricke Olds Jr., Brandon Lewis Olds, Yolanda Spencer, Candice Parker, Keith Griffin, Laura Davis, Eric Bryson, Ta’keaya Bryson, Trinity Edwards, Murray Edwards Jr., and Ryla Edwards, five loving grandchildren: Kasai, Akira, Kailani, Nyla and Gianni, special aunt: Beverly Peterson. fiancé: Gregory Morrison, Special sisters: Esha, Cornisha and Roberta, two special daughters: Kiara Hernandez and Katiana Hurt, and her special grandchild/puppy: Ace Thomas, a special hair stylist: Taurius Peterson, her favorite coworker: Mary Ellen McCaslin, her caretaker: Ashley McComas, and last but not least her special group of friends: the True….. (lol) you ladies are the best, and her ride or die Teash, along with a host of other relatives and friends. 

Tasha has left us with lots of love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories.

Her Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00am at Zion Hill MBC, 123 Helen St, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of service at the church. Pastor James Lane, Jr. will officiate. Burial will take place on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.
