Takisha L. Hampton departed this life on December 9, 2019 surrounded by her family.
A memorial celebration will take place at 1:00pm, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Jacarra Williams to officiate.
Takisha Lashonn Hampton was born June 5th, 1975 to Leonard and Portia Hampton in Michigan City, IN.
She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of Reverend Jacarra Williams. Takisha attended Elston High school. Takisha loved to cook, EAT, play board games, and be with her close family and friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her parents: father, Leonard Hampton and mother Portia Jarrett; four children, Brandi (Melvin) Jordan, Leonard Hampton, Zoey Washington, and Ky’shonn Hampton; two brothers, William Shaifer and Arthur (Susan) Simpson; three sisters, Lucinda Taylor, Delisha Taylor and Bertina Slaughter; two grandchildren, Melia and Malaysia Jordan; God mother, Karen Taylor; four aunts, Rosalyn (Derrick) Wesley, Marcia Hampton, Fannie (Calvin) Caywood and Pearl Mason; one uncle, Charles (Kathey) Hampton; fiancé Irvin Dockery; special grandmother, Lucille Webster; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Henry Wade Hampton and Ruth Hampton and her maternal grandparents, Irma and James Williams; two uncles Donnell and James Hampton and one aunt, Alma L. Moore and one special cousin, Robert “Bobboo” Moore Jr.
