Rubin Jones Jr. was born May 3, 1963 in Michigan City, Indiana to Mr. Rubin Jones Sr. and the late Mary Ann Jones.

Rubin attended and graduated from Elston High School on June 4, 1981. Rubin enjoyed cooking very much, he worked as a cook/chef for many years at various restaurants, which included Hacienda, Galveston and Swingbelly’s. Rubin enjoyed listening to his music collection, watching sports, family gatherings and traveling. Rubin was a blessing and joy to be around.

Rubin Jones Jr. was called home on July 27, 2020 at FranciscanHealth of Michigan City, Indiana. He was preceded in death byhis mother; grandparents, Fred Williams and Ruby Mae (Johnson) Williams; one nephew, Archon Garner.

He leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories, his father Rubin Jones Sr., five siblings, Sherri Lynn Jones-Gaston, Tammy Marie Jones, Archie Terrell (Inesha) Jones, Courtney Vashawn Jones all of Michigan City, Indiana and Shekeli Denyce Jones of Indianapolis, Indiana; a loving dear friend Brenda Bowen and five grandchildren (who called him papa) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He will be missed dearly. 

Viewing will be Friday, August 7, 2020 from noon to 1pm at Coleman&Hicks Chapel. Funeral service are private. The family request the CDC guidelines with social distancing and facial masks are mandated to be worn.
