Royce Robinson Sr. Obituary

HIS STORY...

It is with immense love and respect that we celebrate the extraordinary life of Royce Andre Robinson Sr., who was born on June 5, 1977, in Gary, Indiana to Lottie Dunlap Robinson and Donald Robinson Sr.,

Royce was a man of many talents, from building old school cars, building sound systems, and doing mechanic work, but his most profound quality was his unwavering loyalty to those he loved. Born and bred in Gary, Indiana he later made Michigan City, Indiana, his home for over 30 years, where he was a beloved member of the community. With an infectious laugh and a heart as big as his personality, Royce had a knack for making people feel cherished and valued. He was a rock and refuge for his family, the most important aspect of his life. As the philosopher Marcus Aurelius once said, "What we do now echoes in eternity," and Royce's impact will continue to resonate through the indelible memories he has left behind.

Royce is survived by his Brother: Donald (Shirley) Robinson, his Sister: Shawniece Robinson, Two Sons: Royce Jr; and Remington Robinson, Grandson: Ronan Robinson, Fiancé: Hollie Roberson, Special Cousins: Frank Andrews and Johaun Rodriguez, Special Friends: Lincoln Norvell, Joe Nichols, and Derrick Harris, each of these individuals was of immense importance to Royce, and he cherished his relationships with them deeply, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Royce Andre Robinson Sr., 47, of Michigan City, Indiana gained his wings quietly on June 6, 2024 in Crown Point, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Lottie and Donald Robinson Sr., Grandparents: Alex Dunlap, Alberta Dunlap, Bennett Robinson, and Ollie May Robinson, Uncles: Thomas Earl Dunlap, Tyrone Dunlap, and Melvin Robinson, Aunts: Georgia Mae Dunlap, Deffer Dunlap, Leslie Robinson, and Jo Elaine Robinson.

Remembering Royce, let's step back and recall his funny anecdotes, his courageous spirit, his charismatic charm, and his loyal heart. May we forever keep the essence of Royce Robinson in our hearts and memories. We encourage you to share your memories and photos of Royce on his memorial page, so we may all continue to honor his remarkable life. A larger-than-life figure, Royce was a beacon of charisma, courage, and comedy, illuminating the lives of all those fortunate enough to cross his path.
