Rosie N. Wilson, affectionately known as Sista, was born on August 27, 1960 in Michigan City, Indiana to L.B. Wilson and Della Draper.
She attended Elston High School and was formerly a laborer at Anco.
Sista accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
On Saturday, July 25, 2020, at the age of 59, Sistadeparted this life and woke up in the presence of the Lord.
Sista enjoyed life to the fullest and was always the life of the party. She was a social butterfly and never met a stranger.
Sista was preceded in death by her father L.B. Wilson, step father, Joe Draper, and brother, Terry Wilson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted companion, Franklin Davis, three daughters: Terra (Lincoln) Fry-Norvell, Carolyn Davis, and Nicole Davis; mother, Della Draper; two brothers: Lee Earl “Maine” (Jean) Reid and Levi Wilson, two sisters: Carolyn Moore and Jackie Wilson, motherly figure, Evangelist Gloria Fry, special cousin, Joyce “Ann” Reid along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be 11am Friday, August 7, 2020 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Payton to give the eulogy. Viewing will be 10am Friday, August 7, 2020 at the church until the time of service. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family request the CDC guidelines with social distancing and facial masks are mandated to be worn.
