Robert Newson Jr.

Robert Newson Jr. was born into this life on September 20, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois to Lorean and R.C. Newson.

Robert was educated at Thomas Brenan Elementary in Chicago, Illinois and North Side High in Memphis, Tennessee. He later matriculated to Southern University in Carbondale, Illinois with the dream of becoming a doctor. Life had other plans for Robert though he did not become a medical doctor, "he became a doctor of food".Robert took his passion of food to the VA hospital of which he worked until passing. He was also an outdoors man who enjoyed fishing and gardening. He also found comfort in playing the guitar and piano.Though Robert never married he did find life partner Sharon Tinsly who he spent over 30 years with until passing.

Robert heard the heavenly call on October 6, 2021 and was welcomed by his parents Lorean and R.C. Newson and 3 siblings, Ruby Welch, Quinton Newson, and Granville Archer.

A Celebration of life will be Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11am at Precious Memories Chapel 7605 S. Halsted St. Chicago, Illinois 60620. Viewing will be 10am until time of Service at 11am. Burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chicago.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories one brother, Sedric Newson, two sisters, Ramona Newson and Jeraldine Vaughn all of Chicago, Illinois; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
