Robert Lenoir, Sr. affectionately known as "Bro," was born on October 11, 1961, in Michigan City, Indiana to the late R.J. Lenoir and Lestine Williams Lenoir.
The beloved father and friend departed this life on June 20, 2024 at Franciscan Health Center with his loving family by his side. Robert was a man of many endearing qualities, a charismatic soul known for his adventurous spirit, his reliability, and his dedicated service to his church and family.
Robert, Sr. was a faithful member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Allen Briggs and was deeply rooted in his faith. As a talented kitchen cook, he was well-known for his delicious meals at the Headstart Program, where he worked for 20 years. His dedication to his work was evident in every dish he created, and his love for the children he served was unbounded. He was a reliable figure in their lives, someone they could always count on for a warm meal and a welcoming smile. His charisma drew people to him, and he was a favorite among the children and his colleagues alike.
Robert, Sr. was an adventurous spirit, known for his love to barbecue, going to the casinos, river boats and playing games of poker and Pokeno. He found joy in fishing, and his favorite pastime was riding his scooter to visit family and friends. His dedicated love for his scooter was second only to his love for his family.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his daughter Lillian Lenoir, and his son, Robert Lenoir, Jr., who will dearly miss their loving father; grandchildren, Robert Lenoir, III, Trinity Lenoir, Isiah Lenoir, Prince Lenoir and Wayne Witt, Jr.; one great grandson Wayne Witt, III all of Michigan City, Indiana; his special uncle J.W.
