Rev. Allen Harvell, a humble man, was born on December 7, 1932 to the late Allen Harvell and Maebell Spencer Harvell in Luxora, AR.

He grew up in Luxora and attended Burdett Junior High School where he received his formal education.

Rev. Harvell accepted the Lord as his personal savior when he was 31 years of age. A Christian and meek man who loved his brothers and sisters in Christ and most of all his Lord an Savior. He enjoyed hearing song "I've Got A Right To The Tree of Life" For He knows that after all is said and done and when it's all over, He has a home that is eternal in heaven that is not made by the hands of man, but by God Almighty. One of his all time favorite scriptures he often quoted was Psalms 121:1-2 "I will lift up mine eyes until the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

Rev. Harvell was ordained in 1965 by the late Dr. Daniel E. Cook. He was a long time member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church where he was a close friend and mentor while under the leadership of Reverend James O. Childs.

He was employed at the Auto Specialty Manufacturing Company for over 28 years. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball, bowling, watching sports, cooking and baking. His most requested food items were the mouth watering "butter-milk biscuits", "buffalo fish" and "peach cobbler".
