Ralph Kencade Shell was born February 02, 1969, to the late Robert Lee Shell and Lee Ethel Shell in Michigan City, IN. He was the fifth child of six sibling: Larry (Faye) L. Shell, Florida, Fort Myers, Linda S. Rodriguez, Indianapolis, IN, Carolyn M. Shell, Indianapolis, IN, Lisa (Nudy) M. Farmer, Searcy, AK, John K. Shell, Indianapolis, IN, Janice L. Shell, Indianapolis, IN.
Ralph graduated from Elston High School in 1987and received a basketball scholarship at Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis, IN. Also, Indiana State, Terre Haute, IN He accepted Christ at an early age at First Pentecostal MB Church. He later enlisted in the National Guard. He worked at MonoSol, Lebanon, IN.
Ralph was a jokester and loved spending time with his family and friends as well watching his favorite team, the Chicago Bulls.
Ralph was extremely passionate about his kids, family, and friends. His legacy lives on through (3) children, Bryce K. Shell, Brente G. Shell, Britney J. Shell, Breshawn D. Bolton (stepson). Also, he has (2) grandchildren, Keyon L. Shell and Kariter K. Shell. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and friends. Special friends “The Crew”, Mauya Stover (sister/mama), Mario Thomas, Carmel (Tee) Isbell, Wendell McCollough, Les Bolton, Deval Sanders, Alton Stover, Devin Hawkins, Andre’ McCollough (late).
A Celebration of life will be January 20, 2024 10am at Zion Hill Baptist Church 123 Helen St. Michigan City, IN 46360 with Pastor Jermaine Razor to do Eulogy. Viewing will be 9am until time of service at the Church. Burial will be Monday, January 22, 2025 at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.
