On June 11th, 1973, Patrick was born to Bobanna C. Flowers and Patrick Thomas Nichols. At a young age, Patrick attended Carter Temple Church, IL where he was baptized. Patrick grew up on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois.
“A man’s gift maketh room for him and brighten him before great men.” Proverbs 18:16 KJV
Patrick was a very captivating young man. In his youth, during grammar school, Patrick excelled in mathematics which sparked a gift in him to accomplish anything that came his way. Patrick always showed signs of becoming a leader. As a youth, Patrick took a job as a guidance counselor at St. Cyril, IL where he overseen his two younger sisters in addition to leading the youth group.
Patrick attended Fermi Grammar School, IL and then went on to attend Hillcrest High School, IL. Patrick had dreams of becoming a Chicago Police Officer. With this, he attended the Chicago Police Youth Explorers. This gave him the opportunity to march in the Bud Bilikan Parade as a representative of the youth explorers.
Patrick had a giving spirit. He was very close knit with his Family and would help everyone he knew. Patrick grew up close to his grandmothers, Betty Williams and Dorothy Brown, who proceeds him in death. Patrick shared a bond with his mother, Bobbie, as being her first born child. Patrick would be on the phone with his mother for hours laughing, talking and fussing. Patrick always made sure to say “I love you Ma” before their calls ended. Patrick had a great love for his father, Patrick N. Patrick grew up having a bond with his Stepfather, Oliver.
Patrick has two Brother’s and three Sister’s that he shared a phenomenal bond with. Patrick loved his siblings and he made sure to make time for each one of them. He talked with them. He laughed with them. He also cried with them in good times and bad times.
At the young age of 23, Patrick met Keiyalda Groom (Ke-Ke). During their courtship, they got married. With their union, they had a daughter, Parys.
Patrick has a son, Keontae, whom he loved very much so.
Patrick met his second wife, Eniwetok Bryant (Weeta) whose unio brought about two sons, Jarius and Joshua.
Patrick went on to build a life in Phoenix, Arizona where he had a thriving career at Gila River Gaming Enterprise, Inc. as a Casino Manager. There he had a vast number of close friends who treated him like family.
Patrick will be greatly missed for he had a big heart. He had an infectious smile that would light up a room. God knew the plans he had for Patrick.
Patrick made his transition on Thursday, August 24th, 2023, in Phoenix, AZ. He leaves to cherish memories of his life to his Parents, Bobanna, Oliver and Patrick N; his brothers, Paul and Patrick; his sisters, Patrices, Lawanda and Jamyen; his children, Parys, Keontae, Jarius and Joshua. Patrick had an aunt who proceeds him in death (Leontyne Bryant). He also leaves behind a host of uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
A visitation Celebrating his life will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Precious Memories Funeral Home, 7605 S. Halsted St., Chicago, IL.
