A Celebration of life is pending will be Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 2pm, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 660 Warnke Rd. Michigan City, Indiana 46360.
With profound sadness and hearts full of cherished memories, we announce the passing of Olivia Pasha, who departed this world peacefully on March 10, 2025. As the eldest of eight siblings, Olivia’s life was a testament to elegance, unwavering strength, and boundless love.
Born to Bertha Miller and Rasco Evans in Marianna, Arkansas, Olivia approached life with grace and determination. Her journey was marked by resilience and a steadfast commitment to her family. As the eldest, she naturally assumed the role of caretaker, mentor, and protector to her brothers and sisters—a responsibility she carried with pride throughout her life.
Olivia was a devoted mother to Elaine Pasha of Michigan City, Indiana; Tariq Pasha of Indianapolis, Indiana; Tammy Pasha of Michigan City; Izone (Freddie Lee) Pasha of Indiana; and Tommy Williams of Chicago, Illinois, raising them, along with Tom Buford of Chicago, with the same loving guidance and strength that defined her character. Her nurturing spirit extended to her 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She took immense joy in their accomplishments and found her greatest happiness in family gatherings, where her warm laughter would fill the room.
She leaves behind her loving siblings: Evelyn (Nathaniel) Wright of Indianapolis; Melvin Miller of Waikiki, Hawaii; Mary Sanders of Los Angeles, California; Alvin Weddle of Michigan City; and Robin Weddle of Michigan City; as well her beloved cousins. She was preceded in death by her siblings Eddie Evans and Willie Weddle, and her grandchildren Jameel Pasha, Karim Turner, and Tariq Pasha Jr., whom she missed dearly.
Beyond her family, Olivia was a Jehovah’s Witness, an avid traveler, and a devoted pet owner to her beloved dog, Teddy Bear. Her sense of humor brought joy to all who knew her, and her resilience will be remembered by her wide circle of friends and acquaintances.
Olivia’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched with her wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support. She taught us the importance of family bonds, the strength found in loving deeply, and the grace that comes from navigating life’s challenges with dignity and faith.
Though we mourn her absence, we find comfort in knowing that her elegant spirit, strength of character, and loving heart have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Olivia’s memory will forever be a blessing and an inspiration.
