Michael Duncan Obituary

Mr. Michael Coleman Duncan gained his wings on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Michael was born November 20, 1955 in Michigan City, Indiana the son of the late Raymond C. and Evie Lee Duncan. At an early age, Michael would attend meetings with his mother. He spent his younger days in Michigan City, Indiana and graduated from Roger High School. After high school in 1972, Michael was drafted into the United States Marine Corp. He ranked as an E3 Lance Corporal. While serving in the United States Marine Corp. he became a CBT Combat Engineer, earning several awards including the National Defense Service Metal as well a a Good Conduct Medal. Michael also did 1 year and 2 months in foreign and sea service during this time. In 1974  Micheal received an honorary discharge from the United States Marines. 

Mr. Michael Coleman Duncan remained a long time resident of Flint after moving to Flint in the 80's. He was a Jehovahs Witness and attended meetings at the Stedron St. Kingdom Hall, Flint, MI. His hobbies included fishing, repairing anything broken and fixing cars. He also enjoyed gardening, listening to Tupac, watching tv, eating peanuts and fussing! Most of all, his passion was his entire family. When you called he was coming!

Michael Coleman Duncan was preceded in death by: parents, Raymond C, and Evie Lee Duncan; sister, Moneer Newson; brothers, Kay Wiley, Ronald Duncan, Mark Duncan, Phillip Duncan; niece, Catrina Villalobos; uncles, William Anderson, J.A. Anderson; step-daughter, Cassandra Brown; great-aunt, Anezia Fargo; God-brother, Less Boyd, God-son Kiwyondi Grace; God-daughter, Zakeya McGee and friend, Charles Hines. 

A Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 12 noon with viewing at 11am until time of service at Coleman and Hicks Chapel 101 S. Karwick Rd. Michigan City, Indiana.
