Her Story...
Marquise Jenneil Leeks was born on August 29, 1980, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Margaret Pittman (Nelson) and Jessie Leeks. She was their first-born child.
Marquise Leeks, age 45, transitioned to her eternal resting place on October 3, 2025, at 7:40 a.m., leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and memories that will never be forgotten.
Quee, as she was affectionately known, was a woman of remarkable determination and heart. She was the proud owner and founder of Jenneil Janitorial Services, where she poured her dedication, leadership, and work ethic into building a business that reflected her integrity and commitment to excellence. Her strong sense of purpose and tireless spirit were evident in all that she did. Through her hard work and perseverance, Quee took immense pride in owning and operating her business, faithfully providing for and supporting her family every step of the way.
Above all, family was the center of Quee’s life. Everything she did was rooted in love, care, and the desire to ensure her family was nurtured and secure. She was a devoted mother to her three beautiful children and two grandchildren providing a source of guidance, strength, and unconditional love. Her family and friends will forever remember her for her warmth, her laughter, and the way she could light up any room with her smile. Quee loved to listen to music, play cards, watch movies, and spend time with her family. Her adventurous nature and fearless heart led her through life with purpose and excitement. She loved to stay on the move, always seeking new places, people, and moments to cherish.
Quee is survived by her parents, Margaret Pittman (Sherry) and Jessie Leeks; her sister, Jessica Britton (Steve); her brother, Cornelius Nelson; her daughter, J’naija Leeks; her sons, Jwan Leeks-Hatton and Javari Leeks-Hatton; and her special friend, Jawala Hatton. She also leaves to cherish her memory her granddaughters, Harmony Leeks and Haven Leeks, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will forever celebrate her life.
Quee will be remembered for her caring spirit, her resilience, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her life was a beautiful example of drive, independence, and devotion to those she cared for most, and her legacy will live on through all those whose lives she touched.
Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
