Her Story…
With hearts full of love and eyes full of tears, we celebrate the unforgettable life of Marilyn V. Henderson, known to all who loved her as Tudi. Though she left us too soon, her presence, her laughter, and her beautiful spirit will echo in our hearts forever. Tudi was a force—plain and simple. A track star, a publisher, an artist, a paralegal, and a rapper all rolled into one. She had a way of making you feel like you mattered, like you could do anything—and if you did not believe it, she would believe it for you. She cherished her entire family, but her nieces and nephews held an extra special place in her heart. She was the sister who sometimes called you back, the auntie who fed and fussed at you to hit those books—and every bit of it was meant to be with love. She was incredibly artistic and creative. Whether she was sketching out an art design, styling an outfit, or dreaming up decorations and ideas for every kind of occasion, her imagination had no limits. And oh—did she love music. Once she found out she could rap, she was always ready to light up the room with her voice and her energy. She carried her microphone with her like it was a part of her—because if an opportunity to perform did not show up, she would create one. And now, as we face the pain of her absence, we find comfort in the following scripture fitting for her: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalms 23:4
