Her Story...
Margaret Ann Edwards, affectionately known as “Moggy” was born August 9, 1956 in Canton, Mississippi to the late Cassell and John L. Kiner.
As a young child, Margaret’s family moved to Michigan City and attended Elston High School. She loved playing school with her little sister, riding motorcycles, cooking, doing everyone’s hair, and bossing folks around. She was the devoted mother of Shama Eleanor Kiner, her only child.
As a young mother, Margaret moved to Milwaukee, WI, residing there for most of her adult life. While there, she met the love of her life, Dennis Metcalf of Milwaukee WI, with whom she spent over 40 years together.
No one was a stranger to Margaret; she could strike up a conversation with just about anybody, sharing stories full of excitement and adventure. She was outgoing, loved being around family, and was bold, never backing down in a fight. Everyone knew how much she loved her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. She made sure her family always felt that love through frequent phone calls and visits. She never ended a call without saying “I love you” and “don’t say bye but say i’ll see you later.”
Moggy enjoyed all things beauty, taking pride in maintaining her nails, hair, and lashes. She valued looking polished and always made an effort to present herself well.
Margaret’s heart was truly big. Margaret accepted everyone without judgment and embraced people just as they were. She would give her last to those she cared about. She was known for recalling memories others had lost or forgotten, including older family names and locations, details that lived on through her remarkable memory.
Margaret loved God with all her heart and loved attending Bible Study. Margaret will be missed for her bright smile, her genuineness, and ability to love unconditionally.
