Sunrise for Lillie Pearl happened on November 11, 1932, in Chickasaw County, Mississippi. She was born to Herman Evans and Rosa Spraglin.
Lillie accepted the Lord at an early age and made it her life to provide and care for her family. She went on to be a medical tech for the State of Indiana Department of Corrections in Westville, Indiana. She retired after 30 years of service. In 1955 she married the Love of her life Willie A. Davis Sr. Pearl was a Member of the Eastern Stars and a proud member of New Jerusalem COGIC in Kingsford Heights, Indiana under the leadership of Pastor Michael Bush Jr. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and taking care of others, as well as being an avid sports fan.
At sunset on October 12, 2022 the Lord called her home. She was preceded in death by her husband: Willie A, Davis Sr., one brother: Calvin Evans, one sister: Luria Clifton, a grandson: Jordan J. Davis.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her two sons: Willie A. Davis Jr., Anthony L. Davis, brothers: Larry (Ruby) Evans, Herman Evans Jr., Frank (Sue) Evans, one sister: Ella Carter, grandsons: Micah Davis, Marcus Davis, and Jordan P. Davis, Sr., great grandsons: Jordan Davis, Jordan P. Davis Jr., and Josiah Davis, great grand-daughter: Miranda Davis, god-daughter: Sheila Rowlands, sister-in-law: Francis (Calvin) Evans, special friends: Mattie Crews, Iselia Patton, Dorothy Walker, and Corrine Gillispie along with a host of other relatives, Church family and friends.
A Celebration of life will be Friday, October 21, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church 730 W. 6th St. Michigan City, Indiana 46360 at 11am with Pastor Michael Bush Jr., to do Eulogy. Viewing will be from 10am until time of service at the Church. Burial to follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.
