Leroy Morgan Obituary

Leroy (Troy) Morgan was born to Nancy Morgan and Lee Roy Bell on April 24, 1971 in Chicago , Illinois.

Troy attended Theodore Herzl Elementary School, and he graduated in 1986. Troy also attended Manley High School for a short while, later on he received his GED and graduated from Culinary Hospitality Training Center on March 9, 2012.

He loved music, watching football and basketball games. Troy loved his family dearly.

In 2018 we found out he had kidney cancer. The doctors removed his left kidney and a large blood clot on his left lung. Troy fought a good fight but on January 1, 2022  Our Father God called him home. He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, Ella Bell-Newell and Reely Bell,
maternal grandparents, Cordie Mae Morgan and Jessie James Morgan, three uncles, Kenneth Morgan,
Charles Bell and Maurice Bell, one aunt, Diane Bell-Gates, a special cousin, Tonya Jackson-White.

A Celebration of Life will be January 22, 2022 at Coleman and Hicks Chapel 101 S. Karwick Rd. Michigan City, Indiana 46360 at 1pm, with viewing at 12 noon until time of Service.

Troy leaves to cherish his memories his mother whom he adored Nancy Morgan Sr., of Michigan City, Indiana;  two sisters: Linda "Tracy" Morgan of Chicago, Illinois; and Nancy Morgan Jr., of Michigan City, Indiana; his brothers: Terrence Morgan and Cordarell Smith both of Chicago, Illinois; Special friends in his life: Kenny Walton, Markell Hall, Karl Vaughn, and Melvin "Terrell" Harden (in their hearts they will always be be brothers), all of Chicago, Illinois; special nieces: Tamishay and Tiana Robinson of Michigan City, Indiana; whom he loved with all his heart, four nephews: Davion Barr of New Orleans, Louisiana;, Darius Logan, Darien Logan, and Keith Marshall all of Michigan City, Indiana; whom he loved to the moon and back, Along with a host of nieces , nephews, aunts ,uncles cousins and friends who loved him and will miss him sorely.
