His Story...
Lennox “Chach” Anderson was born May 2, 1953 to Leslie Anderson and Winnifred (Browne) Anderson in Kingston, Jamaica.
After graduating high school, he moved to New York to attend college. Upon his college graduation, he received a job offer to work at Bethlehem Steel Mill. This job led him to Michigan City in 1979. He worked for Bethlehem Steel Mill for 23 years where he retired and met some lifelong friends.
He loved going to the beach and reading his bible. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved his Jamaican culture, especially his reggae music. He would sing, dance and laugh all the time. He had such a giving heart and made friends easily.
Chach made his transition on February 15, 2024 in Charlotte, North Carolina surrounded by his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his father: Leslie Anderson and his mother Winnifred Anderson, his brother: Livian Anderson, late wife: Elenora Anderson, cousin: Lorna Burton, and his aunt: Linda Browne.
Chach leaves to cherish his memories his three children: Lysandra Anderson, Kamilah (Steven) Richmond of Michigan City, IN; and Blake (Eddie) Anderson of Georgia; two stepchildren: Ryan Thomas of Michigan City, IN; and Christopher (Toni) Thomas of LaPorte, IN; 2 sisters: Shirlan Brooks and Charmaine Anderson of Florida; 2 brothers: Donovan Anderson and Norman Anderson of Florida; 4 grandchildren: Tristan Anderson, Sariyah Richmond, Sydney Richmond, and Steven Richmond Jr, a special niece: LaiKisha (Mauricio) Jorquera along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
His presence, his smile, his heart, and his love will be truly missed.
A Celebration of His Life will be Saturday, March 16, 2024 11am, at Coleman and Hicks Chapel 101 S. Karwick Rd. Michigan City, Indiana 46360.
