HER STORY...
Khamyah Kierra Jac’queis Metcalf, affectionately known as “Moneyy Myahh ”, was born on April 28th, 1999 in Michigan City, IN to Ericka Metcalf and Nicholas Moore.
Khamyah was an ambitious, dedicated, funny, and smart young woman who lived life on her own terms. She was the proud, adoring mother of her son Brent Jr. She lived in Maple Grove, Minnesota, where she was a self-employed businesswoman, providing goods and services with the same quality that she brought to every aspect of her life.
Khamyah had a way of making every day feel like a party. Whether she was cooking up a storm, singing off-key in the shower, dancing like nobody was watching, or just hanging out with family and friends. She was the life of the party! She always had her eye on the prize, or as she would say, "getting to the money." She enjoyed school and was an over achiever academically. As the saying goes, "She was smart enough to know that she didn't know everything, but ambitious enough to learn everything she didn't know."
She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, inspiration, and love. She is survived by her devoted Mother: Ericka Metcalf; Father Nicholas Moore and bonus Father Prince Davis; Son: Brent Douglas Buchanan Jr.; Godson: Kevarii R; Sisters: Khazzmine Berry, Sarayah Davis, Princess Davis, Aziya Moore, Raven Simmons, Ty’Shyla Metcalf, and April Hales; God-Sisters: Kiavian Pender, Skyiesha Pender; Brothers: Markus Metcalf, Calvin Simmons, DaMaria Metcalf, D’Angelo Parker, and Shontez Cole (Brother-in-law); and a host of special BLVD Cousins; Uncles: Dr. Brian Metcalf, Marcus (Amanda) Metcalf, Marcus Hurt; Micheal Payton; Aunts: Lashia Payton, Lakisha Pender, Donica Young, Jennifer Taylor, Tracy Finley, Leslie Simmons, Tresia Bland, Faye Stewart, and Latisha Henderson. A special Aunt: Gwendolyn Metcalf; Maternal Grandparent: Grant Payton, Jr.; Maternal Great-grand parent: Willie Vern Smith, and Paternal Grandparents: Constance Vaughn and Coleman Moore, Sr.
Khamyah Metcalf gained her wings in Minnesota on August 3, 2025. She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandmother: Beryl Metcalf and Paternal Grandmother: Susan Payton along with her Maternal Great-grandfather: Johnny Smith, her Aunts: Shavounda White and Doris Metcalf along with her Uncles: Melvin Metcalf and Terry Moore, her loving Cousins: Xavier Taylor, Raymond Tate-Crump, Aric White Jr., and Arion Hart-Mitchell.
A Celebration of her Life will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Zion Hill MBC (Location 2) 717 E. 10th St., Michigan City, Indiana at 11:00am. Visiting hour will be from 10:00am until the time of Celebration at the church.
