Kevin Rivera Obituary

Intro: The Opening Note

Kevin Andre Rivera was born on July 10, 1983, to Rhonda Mitchell and Anthony Rivera at Memorial Hospital in Michigan City, Indiana.

Kevin grew up in Michigan City, spending weekends and holidays in Gary with his beloved grandparents. Kevin graduated from Michigan City High School in 2001, where he played varsity football. His talent and dedication earned him a football scholarship to Valparaiso University, where he continued his academic and athletic goals.

From a young age, Kevin’s life was guided by faith, he accepted Christ at St. John’s Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana, under the leadership of Reverend Raymond McDonald. His faith grounded him and shaped the quiet strength that defined his character throughout life.

Verse 1: A Life in Harmony

After college, Kevin relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to be near his brother Anthony and build a life centered on love, family, and purpose. He found pride and fulfillment in his work as a Master Insulator with Local Union 41, where he was known for his craftsmanship, work ethic, and humility.

Kevin was the founder and CEO of Bass-Sick Productions, where he channeled his passion for music production, videography, photography, graphic design, and digital storytelling. A self-taught musician, he mastered the bass guitar, piano, drums, and keyboard, each note a reflection of his dedication and soul.

His art spoke louder than words. Every beat he produced, every image he captured, and every story he told carried depth, creativity, and authenticity. Behind the scenes, Kevin uplifted others by designing websites, logos, and music videos for local artists, often without recognition but always with love.

He was a man of few words but boundless talent. A quiet genius. A brother’s best friend. The baby of the family. Helpful, smart, and deeply connected to those around him.
