Kenya Corley

Kenya Corley was born on November 27, 1970 to Barbara Davis and Jim Macon in Michigan City, Indiana.

Kenya Loved playing basketball, traveling and hanging out with her family. She was a proud Varsity Basketball player. Kenya graduated from Isaac C. Elston High School in 1989. Her first job was at Carlson's Root Beer Stand, followed by GAF Factory. Kenya then began her career as a correctional officer, and that is where she stayed until her health declined. She received several certificates of accommodations.            

Kenya Corley received her wings on April 8, 2022. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Russell Aldridge, her maternal and paternal grandparents, three uncles, Leon Aldridge Jr., Curtis  Aldridge and Chris Macon, one aunt, Velois Mosby.

A Celebration of life will be Friday, April 22, 2022 at 1pm with viewing at 12 noon until time of service at 1pm at Coleman and Hicks Chapel 101 S. Karwick Rd. Michigan City, Indiana 46360.

Kenya leaves to cherish her fond memories of her mother: Barbara Davis of Michigan City, Indiana; father: Jim Macon of Mississippi; two sisters: Kim Aldridge and Regina (Laymon) Fly of Michigan City, Indiana; two brothers: Ozell Corley Jr., of Chicago, Illinois: and Odell Corley of Terre Haute, Indiana; four special nieces: Damara Aldridge of Atlanta, Georgia; Quonshanna Aldridge, of Detroit, Michigan; Ebony (William) Hurt and Toni (Christopher) Thomas all of Michigan City, Indiana; five nephews: Brentae Aldridge of Michigan City, Indiana; Marcus Aldridge of Washington, D.C.; Laymon (Tiffany) Fly I., Reginald Fly all of Michigan City, In  and Donald Corley of Atlanta Georgia; Kenya was also a niece of four aunts and four uncles: Rita (Greg) Olds, Lynda (Jimmy) Orange all of Atlanta, Georgia; Cherry Aldridge of Michigan City, Indiana; Deborah (Julie) Aldridge, Chicago, Illinois; Larry Aldridge, Rodney Aldridge both of Atlanta, Georgia; Terrance Aldridge, Dion Aldridge both of South Bend, Indiana; along with a host of special cousins and friends.
Kenya will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
