Keith Ponder Sr

Keith Ponder Sr. was born to Gail Ponder (Vader) and Norman Ponder on March 10, 1967 in Michigan City Indiana.

Keith passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on September 3, 2023. Keith is survived by the love of his life: Judi Lant, his mother: Gail Connell, his children: Peggy Harris, Nolan Ponder, Amanda Ponder, Keith Ponder II, Beth Knotts, and Cole Ponder, brother: David Kreighbaum, stepmother: Ann Ponder, other Mom: Sandra Bennett, 15 grandchildren, and many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father: Norman Ponder, Sister: Nikki Cummings, Granddaughter: Trinity Roberts, Grandmother: Lois Vader, Grandfather: Gary Vader Sr., Keith Ponder.

He was a smart, kind, funny, loving man. He was very supportive and helped anyone when he could. Keith was a KISS fan and a Steelers fan. He loved to hang out with his friends and family. From chilling in the basement playing guitar, drinking a cold one, or working on cars with his son. Keith loved to ride motorcycles and dirt bikes. He was a great carpenter and a jack of all trades. He loved working with his hands. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. 

A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 12 noon until 2pm at Coleman and Hicks Chapel 101 S. Karwick Rd. Michigan City, Indiana 46360.
