Karen L. Jackson was born March 22, 1962 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Robert Lee Jackson Sr. and Pari Lee (Davis) Jackson.
Karen attended Michigan City Area Schools. She graduated from Elston Senior High School. Karen furthered her education where she obtained some college courses. She worked at Anco (Federal Mogul Wiper) and Diamond Manufacturing.
She enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing cards, music, eating and cooking. She found great joy spending time with her family.
Karen L. Jackson accepted her wings on June 9, 2020 at the IU Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parental grandparents, Willie Jackson Sr. and Maudie (Dubois) Jackson; maternal grandparents, David Davis and Annie (McClain) Davis.
Karen leaves to cherish her fond memories, one beloved daughter, Jasmine Lipscomb of Michigan City, Indiana; stepdaughter, Felicia Lipscomb of Michigan City, Indiana; one devoted sister, Datra Flowers of Michigan City, Indiana; two faithful brothers, Robert (Wendy) Jackson Jr. of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Curtis (Mia) Jackson of Antioch, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Laila Maholmes, Jahlil Maholmes, Autumn Lipscomb, Kaydance Lipscomb and La’Real Bonds, Jr. all of Michigan City, Indiana; one great grandson, LaReal Bonds III; aunts, Frances Collins, Ernestine Tanner, Margaret Brown and Ida Ree Jennings; uncles, Leonard Jackson, Melvin (Barbara) Jackson, Alvin Jackson and Donald (Marilyn) Jackson; eight nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives.
