Joseph Jacobs Obituary

Joseph Anthony Jacobs, 59 of Michigan City, IN passed away on July 27, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. at Life Care Center in Michigan City, IN.

Joe graduated from New Prairie High School and attended Bethel College and Purdue North Central.  Joe worked in Food Service for over 20 years at Westville Correctional Center and Four Winds Casino.  Joe was a avid music lover especially the “Blues”.  He was also a huge Richard Petty fan, attending many Nascar Races.  Joe also loved sports his favorite teams being:  The Colts, The Bears, The Blackhawks and the White Sox.  Joe was also a comic and movie fan, Star Wars, The Blue Brothers and Marvel being his Favorites.

Joe was born on September 14, 1962 in Michigan City, IN.  The son of the late Joseph and Ruth Ann Jacobs (nee Skierkowski).  On October 11th 1997 Joseph married Cynthia S. Brown in Las Vegas, Nevada who survives.  Joe touched the lives of everyone around him including his step-son Terrence Thompson, Niece, Brittany Triggs of Buffalo, NY. Sister, Claudette Jacobs of Beattyville, KY. Brother, James A Jacobs of Laporte, IN.  Also surviving are numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. 

A Celebration of Life for Joseph Jacobs will be held at Kruger Memorial Hall, located at 801 Liberty Trail Road, Michigan City, IN 46360 on Wednesday August 10, 2022 from 11am till 4pm. All Friends, Relatives, and Acquaintances are welcome to share memories and enjoy a light luncheon of Joe's favorites “Pizza and Coke”.
