John Tyler Obituary

John Lee Tyler was born November 20, 1947 to the late Jeffie Tyler and Rachel Ealy-Tyler Tyler in Tyronza, Arkansas.

John served in the United States Army from April 5, 1968 until May 25, 1974. He then retired from Midwest Steel Mill after 50 years of service.

John Lee departed this life on Monday, June 7, 2021 at home surrounded by family. He was preceded In death by 3 brothers, Sylvester Lee, Eugene Tyler, and Eddie E.C. Tyler Sr., one sister, Annie Lee, and a special friend, Emmaline Burr.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, June 18, 2021 at Coleman and Hicks Chapel at 12 noon, with viewing at 11 am until time of service. Pastor Albert Isbell to give Eulogy. Burial to follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Dessie Tyler of Michigan City, IN; three daughters, Monica “Cee-Cee” Davis of Indianapolis, IN; Esther Lee of Michigan City, IN; and Melinda Foster of Milwaukee, WI; one son, Courtney Tyler of Michigan City, IN; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-children and friends, and a special thanks to Dunes Hospice for your excellent care.

John will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
