Jaquerous Tyreik-Rashawn (“Chunky”) Mitchell

“I AM MY BROTHER’S KEEPER” 

Jaquerous, affectionally known as “Chunky”,was born July 15, 1996, to Sellerstine Ray and Raymond Mitchell. 

Jaquerous enjoyed being a father to his children spending precious moments together.  He was motivated to be the best cook in the family.  He enjoyed traveling exploring the world and visiting his loved ones.  Although he was the youngest sibling, he always acted like the little big brother.

He gained his heavenly wings on April 22, 2023 in Indianapolis.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Sellerstine Ray, Raymond (Roberta) Mitchell; his children Jaquerous Mitchell Jr., Serenity Mitchell, Kamora Mitchell, Za'Riyah Mitchell, Zyair Holmes, all of Michigan City, Indiana .Sophia Koch from Detroit, Michigan Tyrese Martin, Josiah Mitchell, Zaibreyon Smith, all of Indianapolis, Indiana. Two step children Aubriana Taylor of Michigan City, In and London Martin of Indianapolis, IN; siblings Shakeena Whetstone, Shaquilla Mitchell, Icie Mitchell, Raymond Gray, step sibling Phillip Parks, Jasmine Parks, Antonia Young, Amber(Ervin) Reddick; Grandparents Carolyn Webb, Victoria and Charlie Jenkins.  A host of nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones,

Chunky was proceeded in death by grandfather Willie Mitchell, Ricky Ray Sr, and brother Jimmy Thomas.

He will be missed by all that knew and loved him!

A Celebration of life will take place on May 12, 2023 at 11:00am with visitation from 10:00am until the time of service at Life Temple C.O.G.I.C., 3707 W US HWY 20, LaPorte, Indiana 46350. (USE THIS ADDRESS), Pastor Dewitt Jackson will do the eulogy with Pastor Robert Fleming officiating. Burial will take place at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Services will also be on LIVESTREAM here on our website.
