James Earl Hamilton

James Earl Hamilton was born in Chicago, Illinois to Felicia Hamilton and Eugene Wilborn on August 25, 1985. He was a bright and handsome little prince, who took the world by force.

His hobbies were playing ball or any sports, especially with his sons - JJ, Mikey, Darius and Marcus and their friends. He was an awesome father. He enjoyed traveling with them, going anywhere they played to support their Dreams. James’s life story was a whirlwind traveling, in Chicago stopping in Gary, Indiana to Michigan City, Indiana, to Memphis, Tennessee to Minneapolis, Minnesota, landing him in Fargo, North Dakota. There he tried his hand in all types of employment, but nothing held his interest long. James had a dream of becoming an entrepreneur and was just beginning to accelerate in his dream of having his own transportation company and being his own boss.

James Earl Hamilton gained his wings on April 13, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother: Felicia Hamilton, one daughter: Ariana Hamilton, paternal grandfather: Robert Earl Holiday, maternal grandmother: Evelyn Hamilton, one brother; Michael Mitchell. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving father: Eugene Wilborn of Princeton, IL; James loved his children: James “JJ”, Michael “Mikey”, Darius, Kamya, Marcus Hamilton all of Fargo, North Dakota). He leaves to keep his memories and love flowing through his brothers: DuWayne Mitchell of  Fargo, North Dakota; Robert  Mitchell said of  Minnesota MN; Sisters: Aryelle Wilborn, Gabrielle Wilborn both of Michigan City, Indiana; Arissa Wilborn of Madison, Wisconsin; Kamaran Wilborn  of Chicago, Illinois; Keanna Wilborn, Kayla Wilborn both of Los Angeles, CA;  and Sylvia Cobb of Chicago, IL; Grandmother: Mary Wilborn of  Michigan City, Indiana; Aunties/Uncles: Nancy Scott, Josetta Wilborn, Tammy Wilborn, Felice (Barry) Kelly all of Michigan City, Indiana; Tony R. Nina H, Fred N, Meredith N, Sunceray N. all of Chicago, Illinois; along with a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives who lives were touched by his smile and love. 

A Celebration of life will be Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 3 to 4pm at Coleman & Hicks Chapel 101 S. Karwick Rd. Michigan City, Indiana 46360. 

James's presence, love, laughter, and smile will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
