Helen Marie Norvell Spicer, 74, of Michigan City, gained her wings and took her flight on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 with her loving family by her side.
She was born Sunday, November 27, 1949, to the late Harrison Norvell,Sr. and Artelia Norvell. Helen graduated from Elston High School, Michigan City, Indiana. She loved bingo games, card games, enjoyed fishing, and loved the slot machines at the casino. Anywhere Helen was, she was the life of the party and loved being a comedian. She loved conversing with her friends and family. She was always first to break out dancing to a Hip-Hop or R&B song. She loved listening to the Blues and gospel music. She will truly be missed.
Helen leaves behind to cherish her fond memories two sons, Lenard (LaWanda) Spicer and Kesi Falls; 3 daughters, Stephanie Spicer, Annette Spicer, and Anntoinette Spicer; sister, Wilma (Steve) Wilson; 10 beloved grandbabies that called her "grandma" Justice Reed, Justin Spicer, Malcolm Reed, Kia Duke, Dakota Spicer, Kimana Spicer, Akaye Falls, Javion Edwards, Kesi Falls Jr., and Darlene Kelley, also 10 great-grandchild and two on the way; a Special Aunt, Rosie Williams, who is her last living Auntie; Special Friends, Tance Falls, Paula Edwards, Brenda Tillman, Rosemary George, and Lela May James.
