Franklin Davis Obituary

Franklin Lee Davis was born Feb. 21, 1945 in Canton, Ms; to Mr. Leon Davis Sr and Earlene Davis.

 He confessed to Christ at an early age. He was baptized by the late Reverend Winston at Southern Hill Baptist Church in Canton, MS.  Franklin received his education at Cambria High School in Canton, MS. In 2006 Franklin became a member of Christ Temple Community Ministries where he served as a faithful member and Deacon under the Pastorage of Bishop Vincent Pryor. He also was a faithful member and Deacon at New Life Community Church under the Pastorage of Rev. Thomas Payton. He LOVED to talk about GOD and Pray. Frank knew the Bible from front to back. He loved scraping, mowing lawns, and helping others. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 12 noon with viewing at 11am until time of service at Coleman and Hicks Chapel 101 S. Karwick Rd. Michigan City, Indiana 46360. 

Franklin L. Davis departed this world and received his wings on May 31, 2021 at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by parents: Mr. Leon and Earlene Davis, 2 children: Franklin L. Davis Jr., Daphne (Dap) Pickering, his wife: Rosie N. Wilson-Davis, and father in law Joe Draper, 1 brother: Leon Davis Jr., 2 sisters: Mary "Liz" Bond,and Marie Bureau, one brother in law: Terry Wilson, and 1 grandson: Ke'Maijhor Lee Wilson.

Franklin leaves to cherish his memories; 3 sisters: Alberta Frasure of Michigan City, IN; Doris Davis of Detroit, MI; Thelma Jean Whitehead of Canton, MS; 5 children, Carolyn Davis of Michigan City, IN; Deborah "Nicole" Davis of Michigan City, IN; Jerry Johnson of Acworth, GA, Patrick Carson of Canton, Ms; and Terra Fry of Atlanta, GA; His mother in law: Ms. Della Draper and sister in law: Carolyn Moore, and one special nephew: Khristopher Moore, Franklin had 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren  along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends..
