On Monday, August 24th, 2020 a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend E-toy Delores Weatherspoon, passed away at the age of 54.
E-toy Delores Weatherspoon was born on January 1st, 1966 to Mable and James Arbethal Weatherspoon in Fulton, Kentucky.
She went to Elston High School and was an Elston Red Devil through. She received her high school diploma in 1984 and later took classes at Ivy Tech Community College.
She loved sewing, traveling, the singer and song writer, Prince and watching movies. She also loved and embraced her Native American culture of Black Foot and Cherokee. E-toy had a huge personality and an even bigger smile. She loved to talk to people and she was always helping whenever she could. She had a soft spot in her heart for all of her nieces. She was a para-professional for many years for the Michigan City Area Schools and later became a bus monitor.
E-toy was preceded in death by her father, James A. Weatherspoon; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Mitchell; maternal grandmother, Annie B. Slaten; brother, Steve Weatherspoon, and great nephew, Nehemiah Easton.
She leaves to share and cherish her memories to her mother, Mable Weatherspoon; sisters, Dortha (Olufemi) Ibironke, Felicia (James) Shannon and her brothers, Ben Weatherspoon, Kennedy (Jacqueline) Weatherspoon, James Weatherspoon, and Christopher Weatherspoon. and a host of nephews and nieces, cousins and special friends, Susie Edmond, Ann Cooper, Joyce Blake and Shannon Andrews.
Funeral services will be noon, Friday, September 4, 2020 at Mt Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Greg McKell to officiate. Viewing will be 11am, Friday, September 4, 2020 at the church until the time of service. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family request the CDC guidelines with social distancing and facial masks are mandated to be worn.
