Esther L. Bellamy

Esther Louise Bellamy age 67 of Michigan City, formerly of Mounds, IL departed this life on Monday September 21, 2020.  She was born in Mounds, IL to Betty (Williamson) Ware and Charles Lowery on May 20, 1953.

Esther accepted Christ at an early age at True Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder S.P. Clemmons.  Esther Louise was affectionately known as Louise, Momma Bell or Weezie. She attended Douglass High School in Mounds, IL and later received her GED.  She later became a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She was united in Holy Matrimony to Edward Bellamy and remained married for 42 years.   Esther moved from Mounds to Michigan City in 1978. 

Esther loved to take care of her family.  She loved to cook, watch basketball (especially the Chicago Bulls).  She loved her family genuinely and uniquely.  Her sons put the biggest smile on her face. 

Esther was preceded in death by her father, Charles Lowery and one brother, Charles Lowery Jr. and one Sister, Audrina Lowery.

Esther leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 42 years, Mr. Edward Bellamy;  Her mother, Betty J. Ware of Granite City, IL; children, Mona Coates of Cape Girardeau, MO, Edwina Bellamy of Marion, IL, Edward (LaQuinta) Bellamy of Cleveland, OH, Derrick (Tracy) Ransom of Chesterton, IN, Edmund Bellamy of Michigan City, IN, and Samuel Bellamy of Michigan City, IN siblings, Rickey (Shrond) Lowery of Chicago Heights, IL, Anthony (Louise)Lowery of Joliet, IL, Deven Lowery of Chicago, IL, Michael (Gerri) Frazier of Chicago Heights, IL  Dennis (Patricia) Faust of Champaign, IL,  Asa Lee of Champaign, IL, Pearline Faust of Champaign, IL, Lisa (Michael) Johnson of Champaign, IL, Steve (Marsha) Faust of Champaign, IL, Mozella Faust of Champaign, Il, Felix (Janice)Ware of Phoenix, AZ, David (Sandy) Faust of Bloomington, IL, Matthew (Anita) Ware of Granite City, IL, Timothy (Zolisha) Ware of Bloomington, IL, Naomi Ware, Wood River, IL; one special sister in law, Carolyn Whitfield; nine grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
