Essence Joneisha Ransberry “Baby Doll” was born July 3, 2015 in Chicago, Illinois to her proud parents WendellaWright and Herbert Barnes.
Essence attended Dubois Elementary School. She received her kindergarten diploma. Essence loved dancing, making videos (Tic Tok) most of all she loved taking care of her little brother. She loved being his mom and best friend. She loved her Big brother Antwone. She had much joy knowing she was getting ready to be an aunt, “especially happy as she says to get out of her cousins baby class, Sir. James”. She also very much loved her cousins. She also loved her father, always calling him to drive her around and making him do what she wanted. She loved her granny Pam. She could also tell her what to do. She loved her (second) mother Crush, who departed her in death; they were so happy to be with each other, she was so sweet.
Essence was preceded in death by her grandmother Elizabeth Beal, Chicago, Illinois, her grandfather JospehWright, her grandfather Herbert Barnes Sr., second mother (Crush).
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 12 noon, with viewing at 11am until time of service at Precious Memories Funeral Home Chapel 7605 S. Halsted St. Chicago, Illinois 60620. Burial will be private.
Essence is survived by both of her parents who adored her, Wendella Wright and Herbert Barnes, two brothers: Antwone Galvin Jr., and Josiah Ransberry, a great-grandmother: Norma Wright, grandmother: Pamela Wright, god-mother: Trina Harris, god-father: “Ducie” one god-sister: Alonia Tetter, three God-brothers: Darrell Henry, Sabranino Thompson, and Xavier Thompson all of Chicago, Illinois; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates and friends.
