Dr. Lloyd Flowers Sr. Obituary

Dr. Lloyd A. Flowers, Sr.  age 78, was born on January 26, 1942  in Belize City, Belize to Ammon and Catherine (Smith) Flowers.  At an early age he was raised by 2 special Aunts, Ella and Elsie Flowers.

He confessed his hope in Christ at an early age in Belize. After graduating from High School, he first attended college in Belize and once he came to the United States he attended Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA where he received his M.D.,at Michigan State University in Lansing, MI, and Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI.  He firmly believed in the importance of education and was always saying knowledge is powerful.  He also lived by the motto giving service to others is always a blessing. He has served on numerous boards and has received numerous awards and plaques in the US and Belize. Lloyd was a veteran of the US Air Force and served in the Vietnam War, and Desert Storm.

.  After coming to the USA he grew more in his faith and attended Voice of Hope SDA Church in Michigan City, IN where he served as a Elder.  He then moved his membership to Berean SDA Church in South Bend IN where he served as Sabbath School Superintendent and Elder until his health failed.

On Tuesday, December 8, 2020 the Lord called Lloyd to his final rest at his home with his wife by his side. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Regina Denise Flowers, of LaPorte, IN, 4 sons: Gilbert Flowers, of Corona, CA, Lloyd (Artess) Flowers, Jr. and Stanley (Meryle) Flowers, of Sylmar, CA and Michael Flower, of Belize with their mother Pearl Flowers. Stepson Timothy R (Rachel) Hall. One sister, Barbara Flowers of Moreno Valley, CA. 17 Grandchildren, and 11 Great-Grandchildren.as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ammon and Catherine Smith Flowers, special Aunts, Etta and Elsie Flowers, Father and Mother-in-law Oscar and Annie Tisby, Grandaughter, Kaitlan Flowers, and daughter Tracy R. Hall.

He will truly be missed.
