Della Mae Garrett

Her Story...

Della Mae Garrett was born on March 27, 1938 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Geneva Bland Garrett and Ira Garrett.

She enjoyed fishing and going to the casino, but most of all loved listening to music and spending time with family. She also loved gardening.

Della Mae gained her wings on March 13, 2024 at Aperion Care Arbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, a daughter Katherine Moore, two sons: Robert Lee Garrett, Aaron Lee Sparkman Jr., her siblings: Billbo Garrett, Elnora McBride, Lizzie Simmons, JD Garrett, Lonnie Garrett, Cassie Walker, Ella Mae Campbell, Tom Garrett, and Sam Garrett along with other relatives and friends that awaited her arrival.

She leaves to cherish a lifetime full of memories her children: James Lee Garrett, Mary Lee Walton, Eva Mae Walker, and Rickey Lee Sparkman, one sister:  Rosalind “Rosie” Walker, and one brother:  James Henry, along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Della Mae’s presence, love, laughter, and smile will be sorely missed by all that knew her.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 30th, 2024 at Coleman & Hicks Chapel. Visiting of family will take place at 11:30am with Pastor James E. Lane, Jr. will officiate.
