Deacon Timothy Vaughn

We give all honor to God who was the head of Timothy’s life, for blessing us with such a wonderful angel.

Timothy Stephen Vaughn was born to Robert and Stella Vaughn on August 5, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois.

He attended Chicago area schools including Assumption BVM where he served as an altar boy. He graduated from Rich East High School in Park Forest, IL. He then went on to serve at Pentecostal Church of Christ under Bishop and First Lady Dillard. His final ministry service was for The Word Church Northwest under Pastor Joseph and Bertha Walters where he was ordained as a deacon.

Tim was very loving and caring to all that he came in contact with. He may argue with you but that was just one of his ways of showing that he cared about you or a situation. No matter the situation that was brought to his attention Tim always did his best to resolve any issues at hand. Tim took pride in managing his company TProductions Security at “J”Ones and Crawford’s in Michigan City.  In an effort to ensure that those customers he served were secure, he would bring in additional staff even if that meant sacrificing his pay. When offering work he always took into consideration his staff’s families, even if that meant making arrangements for his staff to bring their families with them.

A Celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 12 noon, with viewing at 11am until time of service at The Word Church 2075 Rush Place. Lake Station, Indiana 46405.

Burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery 11900 S. Kedzie Ave. Alsip, IL. immediately following service.

Tim departed this life on March 19, 2021 in Michigan City, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Stella Vaughn, paternal grandparents, Lucinda Lopez of Nashville, TN, Violet Riddle and Andrew Vaughn of Nashville, TN, maternal grandparents, George Washington and Aurelia Franklin of New Orleans, LA, his siblings, Roberta Vaughn, Barbara Vaughn and Michael Vaughn and seven aunts and uncles.

Tim leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories, his loving wife: Nicole Mittons-Vaughn, his children: Timothy (Jabri) Vaughn II, Michael (Marquita) Vaughn, Valerie Dean, Sophia Vaughn, Stephen Vaughn and Christopher Nelson, His grandchildren: Ariel, Autumn, Amaiah, Camille, Ziaire, Antonio, Christian, and Jaxson, His siblings: Robert (Rhonda) Vaughn, Linda (Ray) Gaston, Lane D. Vaughn, Alan Vaughn, Angela (Daniel) Vaughn-Neal, Anita Vaughn, Anthony Vaughn, and Dorian Wilkins, his extended siblings: Barry (Tonette) Vaughn, Robert Vaughn III, Ann-Marie (Eric) Woods, and Laverne Chambers, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, friends and his Word Church family.

Tim will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
