HIS Story...

Deacon Arthur Dan Battle, 65, was born on September 27, 1957, in East Chicago, Indiana to Maggie and Dan Battle. He was the youngest of six children.

Deacon Battle graduated from Westside High School in Gary, Indiana. After high school,  he honorably served in the Marines. Upon his departure from the Marine Corp, he moved to Forest, Mississippi where he lived for 20 plus years. Deacon Battle was a member of Greater Powerhouse C.O.G.I.C. where he served faithfully as an Usher and Deacon. He enjoyed giving God the highest praise. "Praise is what he did" Hallelujah ! Jesus! Jesus! Jesus, is His name. 

Deacon Battle was a jack of all trades. He worked serval different jobs and had a great passion for lawn care where he started, Blessed Hands Lawn Care, where his services were in great demand in surrounding areas. 

Deacon Arthur Dan Battle, 65, of Michigan City, Indiana heard the call of his Lord and Savior saying “come home thy good and faithful servant and I will give you rest” on Friday, September 8, 2023 in Westfield, Indiana. Arthur was proceeded in death by his parents, one brother, and three sisters.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Greater Powerhouse C.O.G.I.C., 428 N. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, Indiana 46360 at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 9:00am to 11:00am at the church. Pastor Edker Hull will do Eulogy. Burial will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 W. Hoff Rd. Elmwood, Il 60421.

Arthur leaves to cherish his memories his loving devoted wife: Tonya Naomi Battle, as he so affectionately called his " Sweet T" of Michigan Indiana; two beautiful daughters: Arnay and Arnaysha Battle of Gary Indiana; One sister: Josie Bridgeman of Zephyrhills, Florida; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and Church family.

He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
