Darren Scott Walker

Darren Scott Walker 57, of Benton Harbor, Michigan (formerly of Michigan City) departed this life on October 30, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

A private immediate family service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020  at Coleman & Hicks Chapel, at 2pm with a public walk thru viewing at 1pm, until time of service. 

Darren “Scott” Walker was born September 15, 1963 in Michigan City, Indiana to the union of Rosalind Garrett Walker and Marion Walker.

 Scott attended Michigan City Area Schools growing up, and later received his G.E.D.  He enjoyed fishing, skating, and had a strong interest in electronics, he loved to “dress to impress”. His greatest love was spending time with family and friends. Scott was presently employed at Hoffman Dicast as a construction worker.

Darren departed this life  on October 30, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, Geneva and Ira Garrett, paternal grandparents, Willie Mae Walker, and Brady Walker Sr., and a host of other relatives.

Scott leaves to cherish his fond memories, his mother whom he adored Rosalind Walker of Michigan City, Indiana; one son, Darren Walker Jr. of Michigan City, Indiana; four daughters, Brandy (Mike) Crawford , Johndalyn Veasey, both of Michigan City, Indiana; Devin Birdsong-Havis (deceased), three brothers, Johnny Walker of West Palm, Beach Florida; Mario (Amy) Walker of Anderson, Indiana; D’arcy Sykes of Evansville, Indiana; four sisters, Denise Randolph of Lansing, Michigan; Tanya Walker and Tameka Walker both of Michigan City, Indiana; April Walker of Atlanta, Georgia; special cousin, Marilyn “Tuddi” Garrett, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Scott will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
