Dante Armon (“Fat Daddy”) Sellers II

His Legacy…

On July 11, 2000 A King was born, Dante Armon Sellers II AKA “FAT DADDY” to Dante Sellers Sr. and Chellme Sellers in Michigan City, Indiana. 

Dante attended Michigan City Area Schools. To know him was to love him. He had an infectious laugh and a smile that lit up any room. He was a real charmer, and that boy knew He could dance!!! Dante had a love for music, fashion, adventures and loved fishing. He was definitely a prankster and wanted to make people laugh. He also could never find his socks LOL. 

Dante Sellers II gained his wings on August 3, 2025. He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather: Terrance Robinson, Paternal Grandmother: Mary Byrd, His baby Brother: Davier Sellers, Uncle: Quinton Byrd, Cousin: Jeremiah Frazier, and Best Friend: London Long.

He leaves a lifetime of memories to his Parents whom he cherished: Dante Sellers Sr., and Chellme Sellers; He’s a Grandson to: Tony (Yolanda) Byrd, Pepper Covington and Marianne Byrd, a Brother to: Donovaan Covington and Daniel Covington, a Uncle to his very special Nieces: Trinity Covington and Khalani Covington; A Nephew to: Telon and Tristen Covington, Timothy Byrd, Kenneth Sellers, Tony Byrd Jr., Cortez (Precious) Lemons, and James Battle, (His Aunties): Shakyra Robinson, ToNisha, and Shambriel Byrd, Brandee (Marvin) Williams, and Jennifer Battle; a Boyfriend to his Girlfriend: Ciara Russell; a Special Cousin to: Jaia Covington; a Special Nephew to: Mario (Nicole) Harrell; a Honorary Brother to:  LaVaryai Pheal, Victor Miller, Henry Miller, Marcus Havis, Davion Washington, Javari Leeks, Christian Smith, Danyell Jackson,  AnDarious Steppe, Eric Emery, M. Stallo, Jeremiah (Poppie), and Lil Fred; Along with an abundance of Other Relatives, Cousins and Friends.

“Fat Daddy’s “ love, laughter, smile, and presence will be sorely missed by all that knew him.

A Celebration of his Life will take place on Friday, August 15th, 2025 at 12:00pm at New Hope MBC, 730 W. 6th St.,Michigan City, Indiana. The visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service. The burial will be private.
