Creglas "Creg" Remied

Creglas Remied Sr., was born May 3, 1960 to Elenna Dixon and Charles A. Remied Sr., in Chicago, Illinois.

Creglas was the third born into this union. He accepted christ at an early age at Austin Presbyterian Church. He attended Chicago Public School System, as well as  Austin High School. Creglas (Creg) was known for his sense of always willing to help. Creg didn’t mind using his hands or cleaning. Whenever you were around Creg you are going to always have a good memory or many laughs. He loved playing black jack, dominoes, and listening to his blues. Creg was known for his choiceful language and definitely for always yelling “Aww Jesus” and “Candy!”

The lord called Creglas home on March 31, 2022. Proceeding him in death is his mother, Elenna Hollway, his two beloved sisters, Alisa Riddle, and Tywanda Remied and his daughter Candice Remied.

Creg leaves to mourn and cherish his memories, his parents: Charles A. Remied Sr., and Della Remied both of Evanston, Illinois; a step father, John Holloway of Chicago, Illinois; His loving wife Brenda “Candy” Remied of Michigan City, Indiana;  Children: Shaun Crawford of Memphis, Tennessee; Clarice Remied and Tywanda Remied both of Chicago, Illinois; and Creglas Remied Jr., of Michigan City, Indiana; Two Step-Daughters: Tequilla (Walter) Burns of Crest Hill, Illinois;  Tamara Ivory of Michigan City, Indiana;  Five Siblings: Charles (Carrie) Remied of Baltimore, Maryland; Efrem Holloway of Chicago, Illinois; Kenyatta (Freddie) Griffin of  Huntsville, Alabama; Jamison Remied and Melida Remied both of Evanston, Illinois; His 8 Grandkids Jani, Jayden, Joya, John, Vashaun, Anaiah, Iyanah and Aiden. He also leaves his love to all his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.

A Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 12 noon at  Mt. Zion Baptist Church 123 Helen St. Michigan City, Indiana 46360 with Pastor Justin Norwood to give Eulogy.

Viewing will be 11am until time of service at the Church.
