Christian Farmer Obituary

HIS STORY...

Christian Alexander Farmer was born to Frank Farmer and Kia Thomas-Farmer on June 22, 2002, in Gary, Indiana. He was a charismatic and thoughtful soul, who carried a certain unique light within him. His happy-go-lucky spirit was infectious, his humor disarming. He could take the most common of moments and make them memorable, his laughter a sweet melody that could charm anyone. His considerate, courageous and smart nature was evident in his life choices and his passion for his hobbies. A quote by Albert Einstein comes to mind, "Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving." And Christian lived by this ethos, always moving forward, embracing life with open arms.

Christian had a heart full of love for his family, which was the cornerstone of his existence. He was a devoted baby brother to Lauren D. Carter, Nathan I. Boswell-Thomas, Frank B, Farmer, Jr., Tamara Farmer, Dion Powell, Alicia Cooper and Ty Farmer. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins with precious memories to hold deep in their hearts. He was a cherished son to his father, Frank, and me, Kia. He was our pride, our joy, and an irreplaceable part of our lives. His light-hearted spirit, his loyalty, and his love for us made our family stronger. His love for drag racing and auto mechanics was only rivaled by his enthusiasm for gaming and information technology. He was a laborer by profession, with two years spent in the manufacturing industry, but he was a dreamer at heart.

An avid chess lover, Christian was known for his strategic thinking and his competitive spirit. He lived in Gary, Indiana, before moving to Merrillville, where he attended Merrillville High School, earned his GED and went on to make countless happy memories. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Georgia Osborne-Davis, who he held in high regard. As parents, watching Christian grow from a playful toddler into a charismatic, thoughtful, courageous, and smart young man was the greatest privilege of our lives. He lived his life with laughter, grace, and a zest for new experiences. The void left by his absence can never be filled, but the memories he gifted us are treasures we will hold dear forever.

Please take a moment to share your memories and photos of Christian on his memorial page. Your stories and reminiscences will serve as a fitting tribute to Christian's incredible life and will help us remember him as the lively, loving, and brilliant person he was.
