Catrina Villalobos Obituary

Catrina Rashon Duncan Villalobos was born July 30, 1983 to Jeffery Laroy Jackson and Paulette Duncan Jackson of Michigan City, IN.

Viewing will be Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 10am to 12pm at Coleman & Hicks Chapel. Services will be for the immediate family only.

At the age of 12, Catrina accepted the Lord and was baptized at Pentecostal Cathedral Church of God In Christ under the guidance of Elder Alford in South Bend, IN.

 She graduated from Marquette Catholic High School and continued her education at IUPUI studying in the medical field. Catrina married the love of her life, Daniel Villalobos Ortega, in front of family and friends on June 1, 2019. They resided in Chicago, IL.

Catrina Rashon Duncan Villalobos took her eternal rest on April 29, 2020. She is rejoicing in Heaven with her Great Paternal Grandparents, the Late Walter and Mary Louise Jackson; Maternal Great Grandparents, Jomer and Nonnie Anderson; Maternal Grandparents, Raymond and Evelyn (Evie) Duncan; Paternal Grandparents, Walter and Mildred Jackson; her beloved father, Jeffery Laroy Jackson. She is dancing with her Late Aunties, Mariam Duncan Newson, and Carolyn Adam Duncan; Late Uncles, Ronnie and Phillip Duncan, Grady and Derick Jackson. Amen. God is Good.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Daniel Villalobos Ortega of Chicago, IL; mother Paulette Duncan-Jackon of Michigan City, IN; one sister, Evelyn (Tyrone George) of Michigan City, and four brothers, Jermale Duncan of Terre Haute, Jason Walker of Indianapolis, Darryl Duncan and Josh Duncan of Michigan City. Her in-laws, Maria Isabel Villalobos Ortega (MIL) and Javiel Villalobos Pastor (FIL), Juan Omar Villalobos (BIL), Carmelita Villalobos (SIL), Joanna Villalobos (SIL), Quintila Villalobos (SIL), and Javiel Villalobos (BIL) she also leaves behind, one God Sister, Keturah Jordan Lewis; two great nieces, Kendall Hargro whom Catrina dressed and called “Unicorn” and Charisma Edmond was called “Princess baby” and a host of family members, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered fondly by her close friends, Jamie Benedict, Bret Lawrence, Gloria Wilson, Jennifer Cobbs, Vonbejie McCoy, Carmen Abreu, Rosemary Hauck, Mary Hauck, Alejandra Maksuti, and Hayna Mercado. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she has touched, including her furry companions, Zen Duncan and Taffy Hauck.

She was a very devoted aunt and treated all her nieces and nephews as they were her own kids.

Catrina was very energetic, fiercely loyal, loving, and caring person. She always wanted the best for everyone and challenged others to be their best selves. She loved music and greatly appreciated the songs that touched her soul. Growing up, she dreamed of traveling the world and she got her chance with her husband as their life journeys led them to Alaska, Texas, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Portugal, Spain, Paris, and England.
