Her Story...
Casaundra K. Walker, was born February 22, 1960, in Michigan City, IN. She was the tenth child of Warren and Ruth George.
She was a member of Mt. Zion MB Church under Dr. Stanley Mason. Casaundra was known for her vibrant spirit and love for dancing, shopping, traveling, playing cards, gathering with family, and dressing impeccably. Her attention to fashion earned her the nickname “Krayola.” She graduated from Elston High School, earned a General Education Diploma, and became a certified dental hygienist at Everest College, then worked at Aspen Dental and later went to work and retire from Weil McClain.
Casaundra was promoted from Earth to Glory on July 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents: Warren and Ruth George, brothers: Warren Jr., Adouphus, James, and Lamar George, and son: Joey Holoman, her fiancé': Edwin Ham Sr.
She is survived by her daughters: Lakisha Nicole Walker, TeVaughna Shakahn Holoman, and Kyla LaTreece Walker, all of Michigan City, IN; bonus children: Edwin Ham Jr. of Rolling Oak, VA; and Radiance Ham of Houston, TX; sisters: Legusta (Jim) McDonald, Dorothy Wagner, Sarah Adams, and Patricia (Ellis) Harris, and a brother: Calvin George, all of Michigan City, IN; sisters-in-love: Sharen (Phillip) Berry and Karen Walker; special friends: Irma “Nanny” Mason & Lucille Bureau, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, as well as her furry friend, Cody.
Casaundra’s presence, smile, love, laughter and Stunning Style will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration life of life will be 11am, Friday, August 2, 2024 at Zion Hill Baptist Church 123 Helen St. Michigan City, Indiana 46360 with Apostle Vera Robert to be Eulogist. Viewing will be 10am until time of service. Burial to follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.
