Brenda Patrick Obituary

Our beloved Brenda Diane  Flowers Patrick was born on March 14,1955, to the late A.D. Flowers and Alice Flowers. She was raised with strong values of faith, hard work, and compassion that guided her throughout her life.

Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and faithful friend. She was known for her strength, determination, and unwavering love for her family and community. Even through sickness and hardship, Brenda remained strong and resilient, showing everyone around her what perseverance truly looked like. Though she is no longer physically with us, her love, wisdom, and spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

Brenda graduated from Lake Attendance Center in 1973. After graduation, she moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she earned her CNA license. She later relocated to Michigan City, Indiana, where she worked at Kmart, Michigan City Area School for ten years; she previously worked for Steppingstone Shelter, Brenda dedicated 38 years of service driving buses for the Michigan City Transit.

Brenda married Willie Ray Patrick Sr., and together they were blessed with four Children: Zathaneze Patrick, Alicia Patrick-Hollis, Costenia Patrick, and Willie (Brandi) Patrick. Her children and family were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

At an early age, Brenda gave her life to Christ and faithfully served the Lord throughout her life. She attended Mt. Olive MB Church in Forest, Mississippi which paved the way for the woman that God would prepare her for as a devoted member of Bethel AME Church, where she became a Licensed Evangelist. Brenda served as a trustee for 25 years and was president, worship leader, missionary, and finance committee member. She was a dedicated woman of faith who inspired many through her service, leadership, and devotion to God.

Evangelist Brenda D. Flowers-Patrick was promoted from Earth to Glory on May1, 2026. She was preceded in death by her Father: A.D. Flowers; her Mother: Alice Flowers; her Brothers: Alfreemon Flowers, Alfonzo Flowers and Andrew Flowers; her Sister: Druscilla Flowers, and her Daughter she adored: Alicia Patrick-Hollis.

Brenda leaves to cherish her precious memories: Two Sons: Zathaneze Patrick of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; and Willie (Brandy) Patrick of Indianapolis, Indiana; One Daughter: Costenia Patrick of Michigan City, Indiana; Three Grandsons: Andrew Williams III, Darion Patrick, and Zanthaneze Patrick; Four Granddaughters: Jaylon Patrick, Anaia Hollis, Diana Hurt, and Makenzie Patrick; One Great-grandson: Zefer Patrick; One great-granddaughter: Jocelyn Williams; One Sister: Patricia (Travis) Noblin of Lake, Mississippi; One Brother: Kenneth (Genora) Flowers; along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces, Church Family, and Co-Workers.
